Writer is the latest Tamil movie starring Samuthirakani in the lead role. Directed by Franklin Jacob, the film was bankrolled by Pa. Ranjith’s Neelam Production, Golden Ratio Films, and Little Red Car films. Govind Vasantha composes the music for the film. Pratheep Kaliraja and Manigandan Sivakumar handle the cinematography and editing works of the film. Writer Tamil movie is scheduled to be released on 24th December 2021.

The first look shows Samuthirakani as an honest Police officer who registers cases on the baddie. It is Pa. Ranjit’s third production film after Pariyerum Perumal, Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu.
