Vijayalakshmi Agathiyan is an Indian film actress, who predominantly works in Tamil film Industry. She is the daughter of National Award-winning Tamil film director Agathiyan. She made her acting debut in the film Chennai 600028 under the direction of Venkat Prabhu. She later portrayed the female lead role in Mysskin’s film Anjathe which was also a critically acclaimed film. She had acted as a lead character in the Tamil serial name “Nayagi”. She is one of the contestants in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2 (wild-card entrant). Viji will be participating in Zee Tamil Survivor show (2021) hosted by Arjun.

She was born on 15 January 1990 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the daughter of popular director Agathiyan who has won the National Film Award for Best Direction as well as the National Film Award for Best Screenplay in 1996 for the Tamil film Kaadhal Kottai.  She has two sisters named Karthika and Niranjani Agathian. She was hosting a breakfast show titled “Hello Thamizha” on Vijay Television before she enters the film industry. Vijayalakshmi made her acting debut through the film Chennai 600028 under the direction of Venkat Prabhu. She then portrayed the female lead role in the Mysskin’s film Anjathe which was also a critically acclaimed film. She is currently acting as a lead character in the Tamil serial name “Nayagi” which is going to be telecast on Sun TV.
