800 movie is a upcoming biopic of legendary cricketer Muthaih Muralitharan. The film was written and directed by MS Sripathy. Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi portrays the role of Sri Lankan spin legend Muthiah Muralidaran in 800 Movie. According to makers, the film will be made in Tamil and released in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada.

Muttaiah is known for his number of wickets 800 got in his Test career. It is also expected that the film will be titled as “800”. DAR Motion Pictures to co-produce the project with another leading south Indian production house. Muttiah Muralitharan Biopic “800” is slated to be released on December 2020.
