Thalapathy Vijay in “The Highway Mafia” Movie | Suchitra S Rao

Social activist and author Suchitra S Rao has written the novel ‘The Highway Mafia’ that depicts the battle between a young businessman Arjun Krishan against the cattle trafficking mafia. The Highway Mafia book has become a huge hit and the author wants to make it a feature film.

Suchitra in an interview has stated that the actor who is perfect to play her hero Arjun Krishnan is Thalapathy Vijay. The author has also revealed that many production houses are interested in bankrolling the film.

The story revolves around businessman Arjun and Sana. Their normal lives turn risky once they take on the cattle traffickers. The story tries to expose the smuggling of cattle and other forms of trafficking which was spreaded widely across the India-Bangladesh border.

The cattle trafficking issue has gained relevance in India after the BJP government came to power in 2014. There are numerous incidents where cops and public have caught the cattle thieves. The turning part of the story is that the people will take the law in their hands and will kill the suspects on a few occasions.
