Velan is the upcoming Tamil language romantic drama featuring Big Boss title winner Mugen Rao and Meenakshi Govindarajan, a television artist marking her a lead role in this movie. It is a love story between a Malayalam girl and a Tamil boy. The film is under the direction of Kavin and bankrolled by Kalaimagan under the banner Skyman films internationals.

On April 26, 2021, the charming actor Dulquer Salmaan unveils the first look poster of the movie. The movie is touted to be a romantic comedy-drama and actor Soori plays a hardcore Mammukka fan as Mamookka Dineshan. The music and soundtracks of the film are composed by Gopi Sundar.
