Vedaant Madhavan is an Indian swimmer. He participated in international-level swimming competitions. He is the son of notable Kollywood actor Madhavan. He attended Universal American School, in Dubai. He trained at the Goregaon Sports Club, Mumbai to become a professional swimmer. Later he participated in many national-level competitions with professional swimmers like Kapil Shetty. In the 48th junior national championship, he broke the previous record in 1500m freestyle by clocking 16:01.73. Vedaant made the headlines after he bagged the gold medal at the Khelo India Youth Games 2023 held in Madhya Pradesh.

He also enrolled himself in many swimming training institutes. Vedaant started to participate in various swimming competitions like the 3rd SFI All India National Club Championships 2018, 64th National School Games, Glenmark 36th sub-junior and 46th junior national Aquatic Championships, and Khhelo India Youth Games 2020. At the Danish Open in Copenhagen (2022), he won Gold in the men’s 800m freestyle. He shaved 11 seconds off his personal best time to finish in 8:17.28, beating out local swimmer Alexander L Bjorn by 0.10 to take first place on April 17, 2022.
