Vaathi is a bilingual movie starring Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon in major roles. It is directed by Venky Atluri of Rang De fame, the film was made under the banner of Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film also features Saikumar and Tanikella Bharani as prominent characters. It is the first direct Telugu film for actor Dhanush. Sir is the title of the Telugu version. Vaathi movie will reach the cinema halls on February 17, 2023.

Vaathi movie music was composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The Cinematography was done by Dinesh Krishnan and J Yuvaraj while Navin Nooli was in charge of editing. From the details acquired from the trailer, the film might be about a young teacher who is willing to go above and beyond for his students.
