He made his acting debut through the Kaalai movie as a supporting role. He mostly played the antagonist role in the movies including Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum, Aanmai Thavarael, and more. He did a villain character in Ameer’s period drama Santhana Devan with Arya. Tharun Kumar got limelight through Ganesh Vinayakan’s Thaen movie (2021) where he pairs with Abarnathi.
