Sunny Pawar was born on 8 March 2010 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Sunny Pawar family is now residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father name is Dilip Pawar and his mother name is Vasu Dilip Pawar. He pursuing his schooling in Air India Modern School, Mumbai. He started his acting career in the year 2016, from the movie Lion in this movie he featured in the role of younger Saroo Brierley.

This movie is directed by Garth Davis and written by Luke Davies with Dev Patel, Rooney Mara, David Wenham, and Nicole Kidman. Then for this movie, he was selected among the 2000 students at the age of 6. Later he also received critical praise for his performance in the movie Lion, with that, he has won the AACTA Award for Best Actor in the category of Leading role at the 7th AACTA Awards. Before the release of the movie, he made several television appearances on American talk shows that include The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Once after he gets back to India after all the award ceremonies he plans to pursue his acting career and continue his education as well. He also plans to enter into the Marathi industry with his upcoming movie ABC which is directed by Ramkumar Shedge and in this movie he appeared in the role as Hari.
