Suja Varunee also known as Sujatha Naidu is an Indian actress and dancer who has appeared in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam language films. Apart from acting in movies she also supports Patali Makkal Katchi. Suja started her career as a lead actress in the movie Plus Two but later on, she was seen mostly in special appearance and as a dancer in songs. Since 2008 she prioritized her work as a supporting actress and has made notable work in the movies Milaga (2010), Pencil (2016) and Kidaari (2016). Suja Varunee was born on 11 October 1984 in Chennai. In 2002, Suja Varunee entered the film industry when she was 14. She got this chance to act in the movie Plus Two by his neighbor Rajarajan, who was a cinematographer. The movie didn’t perform well which eventually made her quit acting. After a break, she got a chance again in 2004 to perform in an item number in the Srikanth starrer movie Varnajalam. Since then she was approached by many directors to perform item numbers. In the mid-2000s, Suja Varunee became popular for such glamorous and single song appearances. Even though she has made pivotal roles in certain roles, the film industry tagged her as an item girl.

Suja Varunee has been a part of many notable films including the Kannada horror-comedy Aptharakshaka (2010) and its Telugu remake, Nagavalli (2010), Milaga (2010), Settai (2013), Appuchi Gramam (2014), Kidaari (2016), Kuttram 23 (2017), and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal. She is engaged to Shivaji Dev, son of Ramkumar Ganesan, who she has been dating for past 11 years. Suja took part in the Tamil reality television show Bigg Boss hosted by Kamal Haasan, where she entered on day 52 as a wild card contestant.

On 19 November 2018, Suja married her longtime boyfriend Shivaji Dev. Reportedly, both of them have been in a relationship for the past 11 years.
