Aarogya Setu App: Steps to Use & Download

Aarogya Setu is a mobile app launched by Government of India. Using this app, citizens can track the COVID-19 (coronavirus) across the country. Developed by the National Informatics Centre (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology), Aarogya Setu app is available on both Google Play Store on Android smartphones and App Store for iPhones.

Aarogya Setu application identifies the coronavirus cases around and helps in fighting the virus on an individual level. According to NITI Aayog CEO, Amitabh Kant, the app has reached 50 million users in just 13 days. Report suggests that this is the word’s fastest downloaded app.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the citizens to download this tracking application in order to keep themselves safe during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

The app has many features like self-testing, tracking and sharing the info to the government. If you want to test yourself, just answer a number of questions asked in the app. If your answers suggest COVID-19 symptoms, the information will be sent to a government server.

This app works mainly to identify the coronavirus infection by using the smartphone’s GPS system and Bluetooth. It clearly tracks the nearby COVID-19 infected person.

1. Download Aarogya Setu App which is available on both Android and iOS.
2. After installing, switch on Bluetooth and the device’s location.
3. Within few minutes, you will receive an OTP. Just enter it.
4. Choose your gender from the options given.
5. Enter your personal details such as name, age, and profession.
6. It also enquires about your foreign travel history in the last 30 days.
