Sonchiraiya, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar, has been leaked online by torrent site Tamilrockers. The full movie has been leaked online and made available for free download within hours of the release of the film.

TamilRockers is a infamous piracy site that upload the new releases illegally. Producers and filmmakers from the industries across the country have been opposing TamilRockers, as it affects the business of films.
