Singamuthu is an Indian stage and film actor, who works predominantly in Tamil film industry. He is a famous comedian who has appeared in famous films including Suryavamsam (1996), Nee Varuvai Ena (1999), Raja Rani (2013) and Kalakalappu 2 (2018). He is a theatre artist too, who had long-term experience with the entertainment industry for more than 25 years. Singamuthu’s son, Vaasan Karthik has also made his film debut in the year 2007. Actor Singamuthu Details

Singamuthu was born on 8 December 1958 in Thirumangalam, Madurai, India. He has primarily appeared in comedy roles in films doing small comedy roles debuting in the 1987 film Neram Nalla Irukku. He is often seen in a few scenes in films, portraying an associate of the lead comedian. He often shared screen space with popular comedian Vadivelu, and the duo has given many hilarious comedy scenes to Tamil movies in the recent times. He played the role of an old poet in 2006 Tamil film “Imsai Arasan Irupathi Moonam Pulikesi”, alongside Vadivelu. In 2010, Actor Vadivelu held a press conference, accusing Singamuthu of forgery and financial cheating in a land deal. However, things turned worse when Singamuthu had to spend three days in jail. But later it was proved that the pair were actually cheated by the salesman who sold the land to Singamuthu illegally.
