Siddique is an Indian director, actor, producer, and screenwriter who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. He made his directorial debut with the Malayalam movie Ramji Rao Speaking in 1989. Siddique popular movies are Ramjirao Speaking, In Harihar Nagar, Godfather, Vietnam Colony, Hitler, Friends, and more. Siddique and Lal (actor) was a super hit duo and did 5 films together before they split. Siddique also delivered some hit films in Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi. Siddique was a writer and director who laced humor and comedy with family emotions. On August 8, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He is already undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments and has had pneumonia.

On 6 August, his health deteriorated after the cardiac arrest, and he was put in the intensive care unit. On August 8, 2023, at 9:10 PM, Siddique passed away at the Amrita Hospital, where he had been getting treatment for the past month for liver-related diseases. The filmmaker Unnikrishnan announced his death and said that the funeral will be held today (August 9, 2023) at 6 P.M. at the Central Juma Masjid, Ernakulam. His remains have been kept at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium in Kadavantra from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. for the public to pay their condolences.
