Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will guest from the rival camp as former Samajwadi Party UP state head Shivpal Yadav is scheduled to reveal him on Wednesday. Shivpal is likely expected to meet Adityanath in Lucknow. Reports of the meeting have the rumor mills working intensely with some even claiming a likelihood of an alliance between the verdict Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has defended his government’s crackdown on the illegal slaughterhouses, saying that the state is following the directions of Supreme Court
Shivpal’s meeting with Adityanath arrives just days after Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh’s younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav’s close door conference with the UP chief minister. Aparna has to meet Adityanath on March along with her husband Prateek in what was represented as just a courtesy call. Aparna was conquered by BJP’s Rita Bahuguna Joshi from Lucknow Cantt seat in the February-March Assembly election.
The Samajwadi Party got 47 seats in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly, its lowest tally since the party’s inception in 1992.In a new convolution to the feud within the Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Singh Yadav had on Tuesday said he would soon launch a campaign to unite ‘Samajwadi’ (socialists) to bring them on one platform.
Shivpal, the contending uncle of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, had threatened to launch a new party after the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. “We will not let the legacy of ‘Samajwadi’ to weaken and will soon loft a campaign to unite socialists to come up them on one platform,” he said here while congratulating Sayed Sagir Ahmad, a senior socialist leader.

“The fight for social justice will be disputed with full strength. In the name of Rama, politics of social justice should be done and not of hatred,” Shivpal said. After filing his designation for state polls in January, he said he would form a new party after the election results are professed. Subsequently, he said there was no such move.
With Akhilesh snubbing Shivpal naming Ram Govid Chowdhury, the Leader of the obstruction in the state assembly, Mulayam Singh Yadav giving the Samajwadi Party’s national administrative meeting a miss, any repair seems unlikely. In public upsurge against his son, Mulayam on Saturday had said Akhilesh had insulted him, and the voters now understood that “one who is not truthful to his father, would not be loyal to anyone” and this led to the party’s poll debacle.
