Shalini Yadav is an Indian politician native to Varanasi. As a Samajwadi Party candidate, she contested in the Varanasi constituency in Lokshaba election 2019 where PM Modi was also a contestant in the same constituency for BJP. At first, Samajwadi Party decided to nominate ex-BEF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav for Varanasi constituency. But his nomination form was rejected by the election commission. So Samajwadi Party gave opportunity to Shalini Yadav who joined the party on 29 April 2019.
