Selvaraghavan is an Indian Film director and a screenwriter who predominantly works in Tamil Film Industry. He made his entry as a screenwriter for his father’s directional debut “Thulluvatho Illamai” in the year 2002 and made his debut as a director through the movie “Kadhal Konden” in the year 2003 followed by 7G Rainbow colony in the year 2004. Selvaraghavan was born on 5 March 1975. He was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He was born to Kasturi Raja and Vijayalakshmi. Selvaraghavan has 3 siblings. One is Actor Dhanush and two sisters who are doctors. Selvaraghavan had cancer in his eye and they removed his eye in order to stop cancer from spreading. Selvaraghavan was married to Sonia Agarwal on 15 December 2006 but after two years they got separated legally. He married Geetanjali Raman on 19 June 2011 who worked as his assistant director in the movie “Mayakkam Enna“.

Selvaraghavan made his debut as a director through the movie “Kadhal Konden” which was a romantic thriller movie. His second movie “7G Rainbow Colony” was also a Romantic drama movie which was also a successful one. His third movie “Puthupettai” got released in the year 2006 which is a gangster movie was one of the underrated movies during its release. Even now they are many fans of the movie. His masterpiece is “Aayirathil Oruvan” which was an adventure film. Even this film was underrated during its release. People took years to realize how good the movie is.

Selvaraghavan brings reality to the screen. He is one of the best directors in Tamil film industry. His movies are unique and his directional skills are much appreciated by the critics and the public as well.
