Raghavendra Raja Rao, better known by his stage name Sean Roldan is an Indian Music Director and a Playback singer who is working mainly in Tamil Film Industry. He made his debut as a music director through the movie “ Vaayai Moodi Pesavum” which was released in the year 2014. From this movie, his success started. Sean Roldan was born as Raghavendra Raja Rao. He was brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His father Srimushnam V Raja Rao is a renowned mridangam player and mother Padma is the daughter of novelist Sandilyan. Sean Roldan completed his schooling at Sri Narayana Mission Senior Secondary School and trained in media arts at Whistling Woods International. He then moved to Chennai to complete his graduation in Bachelor of Arts at DG Vaishnav College. Later, Sean did his master degree in Management course and achieved MBA degree at Manipal University. Sean Roldan began his career in music composing and working on Carnatic tracks, before venturing into independent Tamil music with his band, Sean Roldan & Friends. Sean Roldan was a part of “La Pongal” along with Santhosh Narayanan, Darbuka Siva, and Pradeep Kumar.

He made his debut as an independent music director in the feature film Vaayai Moodi Pesavum in 2014. He was recommended by film producer C V Kumar to Varun Manian for the film. His 2017 releases include Power Paandi, Neruppu da, Katha Nayagan, Velaiilla Pattadhari 2. He is currently composing the soundtrack for Aishwaryaa Dhanush’s Mariyappan.
