Santhosh Narayan was born in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India on 15th May 1983. He did his schoolings at RSK Higher Secondary School which is located in Trichy and then moved to J.J. College of Engineering and Technology to pursue a graduation in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Initially, he worked as a recording engineer and composed music for few short films. Santhosh Narayana was a part of “La Pongal” along with Sean Roldan, Darbuka Siva, and Pradeep Kumar.

Santhosh Narayanan was married to Meenakshi Iyer, who is professional Indian classical singer in Australia. He is the second husband for Meenakshi, as she was divorced with her first husband. Santhosh is the stepfather of two children Dheekshitha Venkadeshan and Sudheekshanan. He made his debut as an independent music director in the feature film Attakathi directed by Pa. Ranjith. His “Sudden Delight” Background music from the film Soodhu Kavvum has become viral among youngsters. In 2016, Santhosh composed music for top actors like Rajinikanth’s Kabali, Vijay’s Bairavaa and Dhanush’s Kodi. He won multiple awards like Mirchi Award For Best Album of the Year and Vijay Award for Best Background Score.
