RJ Ophelia, popularly known as Imsai Arasi meaning Queen of Mischief is a Radio Jockey and host in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her real name is Ophelia Santhaselvi and is known for her unique voice, slang, humour and trolling in a rapid rate. Ophelia worked as a radio jockey in 92.7 BIG FM for seven years hosting morning and evening shows. Later she worked at 94.3 Radio One for two years hosting prime time shows. Though her main proficiency is radio jockey, she is also actively involved in emceeing, hosting, television, corporate events, films and also in social causes. In 2006, Ophelia was one of the four radio jockeys selected by 92.7 BIG FM after a two-month audition process among thousands of candidates. RJ Ophelia Profile

RJ Ophelia was born on 19 November in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her father wanted to give her a rare name, so chose Ophelia, the character in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. RJ Ophelia’s father is a retired Traffic Manager of Metropolitan Transport Corporation, and her mother works for Bharat Petroleum. Ophelia has a younger brother. RJ Ophelia did her schooling at Holy Angels Convent, T. Nagar and a commerce graduate from Stella Maris College. In her college days, she participated in cultural events and plays which made her choose media as her career and to enhance it she made her post-graduation in mass communication from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.

In 2012, RJ Ophelia started her television career with the show School Savari, a weekend kids show on Chutti TV. In 2013, she hosted a show called Studio 6, a weekly celebrity interview show on channel Zee Tamil. She then moved to host Comedyil Kalakkuvathu Eppadi, a weekly skit-based comedy show on Star Vijay. Ophelia was awarded the Best Female RJ for the years 2009 and 2012 in the annual Vikatan Awards by the leading Tamil weekly magazine Ananda Vikatan. In 2010 her show Jill Jill Neram was named as the Best Programme Broadcast after 11 am in Tamil.
