Ritu Karidhal is one of the main scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). She was appointed as the mission director of India’s moon research satellite Chandrayaan-2 which was launched on 22 July 2019. Previously Ritu gave her major effort for Mangalyaan which is an Indian satellite launched to study the surface of Mars. Ritu worked along with Muthayya Vanitha who served as a project director of India’s biggest mission Chandrayaan 2 which was a target to send the rocket named GSLV mark 3 by carrying a satellite and to safely land on the south pole of the moon.
