Reliance to Launch Fixed Line Broadband Service from August 15
On Thursday, RIL (Reliance Industries Limited) chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced that Reliance will launch a fixed line broadband service for home by August 15. While speaking at the company’s annual general meeting, he said “We have 25 million Jio phone customers in India. Jio is determined to become the leader in fixed-line broadband and we will extend the fibre connectivity across 1100 cities.” Further, he added that current Jio phone users will get the service of Whatsapp, Facebook and YouTube which is now on Jio Phones.
“The customer base of Reliance’s Jio has been doubled to 215 million in one year and Jio Phone 2 will be available at ₹2,999 from August 15. Our goal is to have 100 million Jio Phone users in shortest possible time,” said Mr Ambani. Then Mr Ambani’s son and daughter, Akash and Isha Ambani have demonstrated few videos about the new fixed-line broadband service which is named as Jio Giga Fibre.
