Punam Yadav is an Indian weightlifter, who has won the Bronze medal in the women’s 63 kg weight class in the 2014 Commonwealth Games which is held at Glasgow. Punam Yadav Details

Punam Yadav was born on  25 July 1995 in  Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. She is the daughter of a small farmer, now she lending helping hands to her parents in a Benaras village. She did her graduation in Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and her schooling details will be updated soon. Once after the sever training of three years she becomes an international weightlifter. At the time when Punam Yadav received a chance to represent India at the 2014 Commonwealth Games her parents cannot able to support her financially. So her father sold all their buffalo and raised fund for her. Punam Yadav has won the gold medal in a total of 222 kg: 100 kg in Snatch and 122 kg in Clean and jerk in 2018 Commonwealth Games in women’s under 69 kg division. Then in the year 2014 Commonwealth Games, she won the Bronze medal under Women’s 63 kg, by lifting a total weight of 202 kg, 88 kg in snatch and 114 kg in Clean and jerk.
