Prerna Bakshi is a writer, poet, research scholar and activist of Indian origin currently based in Macau. Her work explores issues of class, gender, and identity.  Her work has been widely published and anthologized and nominated two-times for a Pushcart Prize. Prerna is the author of the recently released book, Burnt Rotis, With Love, which was long-listed for the 2015 Erbacce-Press Poetry Award in the UK. Prerna Bakshi Profile and Career

Prerna Bakshi holds a degree in Master of Arts by Research (Sociolinguistics) from the University of Sydney and did her Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics from Monash University. She is currently undertaking a Ph.D. in Linguistics at The University of New England, Australia. Also, her political essays have been published in top magazines like The Hindu, Hindustan Times, The Wire, The Huffington Post, Countercurrents, Amar Ujala, India Resists, and Deshbandhu, among others.
