Pooja Hegde is an Indian actress and model, who predominantly works in Telugu and Hindi film industry. Moreover, she is the former pageant contestant, with that, she was also crowned as the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India 2010 competition. She made her debut in Tamil movie Mugamoodi a superhero movie, which is directed by director Mysskin in the year 2012. Then in the year 2014, she appeared in two Telugu movies Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda, later she appeared as a lead actress in Mohenjo Daro which is Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker in the year 2016. Pooja Hegde was born on 13 October 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Pooja Hegde family is now residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her father is Manjunath Hegde and her mother Latha Hegde. Her family is basically from Mangalore, Karnataka, and her mother tongue is Tulu, with that, she can able to speak fluently in English, Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu. She did her graduation in M.M.K College, Mumbai and her schooling details will be updated soon. She started her career as a model and she competed in Miss India 2009 competition due to some circumstance she got eliminated. Then in the year 2010, she won the second runner-up in Miss Universe India 2010 competition, with that she also crowned as a Miss India South Glamorous Hair 2010. She started her acting career from the Tamil movie Mugamoodi which is directed by director Mysskin in the year 2012. Then she appeared in a Telugu movie Oka Laila Kosam in the year 2014 she appeared opposite to Nags Chaitanya and for this move, she grabbed Best Actress at the 62nd Filmfare Awards South. In the year 2014, she made her debut Hindi movie Mohenjo Daro, in this movie she appeared opposite to Hrithik Roshan and this movie is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.
