Ramu made his film debut with Poo, which starred Srikanth and Parvathu Thiruvothu. Poo Ram is well-known for his films such as Neer Paravai, Thanga Meengal, Pariyerum Perumal, and others. Due to age-related health issues, he was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, Chennai.
