Narendra Modi Arrives in Malaysia: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was arrived in Malaysia to meet his newly-elected Malaysian counterpart, Mahathir Bin Mohamad after a two-day visit to Indonesia. Ninety-two-year-old Mahathir Bin Mohamad was sworn in as Malaysia’a Prime Minister on May 10 after leading the opposition alliance to a stunning election victory over the Barisan Nasional coalition, which had ruled Malaysia since 1957.

Narendra Modi and Mahathir Mohammad are expected to deliberate the ways to strengthen the relationship between India-Malaysia in trade and investment. Narendra Modi had announced in New Delhi that on his way to Singapore, he will make a brief halt in Malaysia to meet Mahathir Mohammad and will wish the new Malaysian leadership. From Malaysia, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Singapore where he will deliver a keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue, an annual security meet.
