PM Narendra Modi Accepts Virat Kohli’s Fitness Challenge

Two days after Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Sports Minister urged Indians to get fitter as part of the #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli took up the Fitness Challenge and has posted a fitness video of his own. Sharing the video on twitter, Virat Kohli is seen performing an exercise for the lower abdomen, calling it his “favourite core workout”. The Virat Kohli’s video comes in response to Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore’s earlier tweet of challenging the Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli, 2012 London Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal and Bollywood Superstar Hrithik Roshan.

While posting the Video, Virat Kohli extended his challenge to his wife Anushka Sharma, Cricketer MS Dhoni and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Responding to his tweet, Narendra Modi tweeted, “Challenge accepted, Virat! I will be sharing my own #FitnessChallenge video soon.”

As a part of the #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Olympic medalist at Athens 2004 urged every Indian to become fitter by getting down and doing ten push-ups. He invited everyone to post their pictures and videos of doing fitness attempts and regimes on Twitter using #FitnessChallenge and #HumFitTohIndiaFit.

Virat Kohli is not the only person to answer the fitness challenge. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore garnered positive responses from a plethora of Indian personalities, including Salman Khan, Saina Nehwal, Wrestler Babita Phogat, Tiger Shroff and many more.
