PhonePe Partners with Ola for Hassle-free AutoPay Experience

On Friday, Flipkart-owned, PhonePe has said that it has partnered cab aggregator Ola which will allow the riders to book rides using the former’s payment platform. Rahul Chari, co-founder, and CTO of Phonepe has stated that with this partnership, the users can enjoy the ease of using their preferred ride-sharing app from within the PhonePe app with assured reliability and integrity of their payments. With that, PhonePe has also added the feature of “Auto-pay” feature which allows the users to make payments seamlessly.

Rahul Chari has said the users could switch off Auto-pay feature anytime they want. He also said, “This is part of our vision of being an open payments ecosystem, enabling businesses of all sizes to build and deploy apps on our platform with a unified login and payments experience for our users.” It will enable businesses to reach out with their services to a highly relevant and rapidly growing base of over 100 million PhonePe users. Going forward, PhonePe is planned to add partners in travel, ticketing, hospitality and food segments to its micro-app platform.
