PAN Card Reapplying: PAN Card can be reapplied in case if your card gets lost, stolen, misplaced, damaged, or even when your current PAN doesn’t have the correct details. You can rectify those issues and then request for the new card with the corrections such as Name, PAN details, etc., The process of applying for the duplicate PAN Card is straightforward, it doesn’t matter what type of PAN you own. When you lost your PAN card, the first thing you have to do is to file an FIR, and then you have to request for a reprint of your PAN by providing your old PAN Card number and also a copy of your FIR. You can easily apply for the new PAN Card by merely visiting the official website of Tax Information Network-national Securities Depository Limited (TIN-NDSL) of the Income Tax Department.
PAN Card Reapplying
Step 1: Log on to the official website of TIN-NDSL and navigate to the section for Reprint of PAN card.
Step 2: Then you can click the apply tab, and the list of options will be shown on the drop-down menu, Now you can choose the PAN.
Step 3: Then you will be directed to the options replace/get a duplicate of, which depends on whether your initial PSN allocated to the individual, firm, HUF, trust, etc.,
Step 4: Now the application form will be displayed on the screen, just fill it up with the required information like Permanent Account Number, Name, Address, Email id, Phone number, etc.,
Step 5: After filling up the form submit the required documents for the ID proof, Address Proof and Date of Birth and also the Photographs should be provided. You should have to submit the proof of your existing card.
Step 6: Then you can make the payment through the payment section to reprint your card. The payment amount depends on the address of the applicant, which the card want’s to be delivered. A fee of Rs.110/- can be made if the address is within India and Rs.1020/- will be collected including the taxes for the outside of India. You can make the payment either through the net banking, debit/credit card or even Demand Drafts.
Step 7: Once you have completed the payment and all the supporting documents are submitted, the acknowledgment will be provided to you with the 15 digits unique number. You can use this number for the future correspondence with authorities.
Step 8: After the verification of documents, the PAN card will be dispatched, it may take around two weeks of time.
