Nithya is the wife of Tamil actor Thadi Balaji. Balaji is a well-known film actor and television anchor associated with Star Vijay. He has acted along with leading stars of Kollywood like Superstar Rajinikanth, Vijay, and Ajith Kumar. He married Nithya, and the couple has blessed with a daughter named Posika. Nithya became famous after she and her husband Balaji took part in Vijay television’s dance reality show Jodi No.1. However, Balaji and Nithya are separated due to some personal issues. She was one of the contestants in the TV reality series Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2. Nithya was arrested by Madhavaram police for damaging her neighbor’s car. She joined the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).

- Nithya filed a complaint against Thadi Balaji at the commissioner’s office that he has been threatening her. In that complaint, Nithya mentioned that Balaji consumes alcohol at home and beats her and he didn’t tell her about his first marriage.
- When this was going on like this, Balaji stated that Nithya is making a small issue into a big problem in front of the media. Later Balaji also filed a complaint against a police and gym trainer in the commissioner’s office that they threatened him.
- He said that an officer in the criminal investigation department named Manoj Kumar warned Balaji not to interfere with Faisal, which is said as Nithya’s affair. Thadi Balaji said that he had given an audio record of Manoj threatening him.
