Nithya Ram is an Indian television and film actress who works in Kannada and Tamil soaps and films. She made her acting debut in Kannada television serial “Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu”. She is the elder sister of Kannada actress Rachita Ram. As of 2017, Nithya currently playing one of the main leads in the mega-hit show Nandhini along with Rahul Ravi in Sun TV and Amma Naa Kodala serial along with Nalini in Zee Telugu. She has also appeared in some well-known television serials like Aval, Rajkumar, Karpoorada Gombe, and Eradu Kanasu. Her performances in many films were received a critical acclaim especially in “Muddu Manase” which was one of the Best films of the year 2015. She also acted with well-known actors like Sanjeev, Ramesh Pandit, Madhu Sagar, Vijayakumar and Narasimha Raju. Nithya Ram Profile and Career

Nithya Ram was born on 31 January 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She comes from artists family while her father K. S. Ramu and sister Rachita Ram being classical dancers themselves, and also appeared in some Kannada films. Nithya is a trained classical dancer from the same academy as well. She completed her graduation in biotechnology and worked for some time, but her dream was to become a heroine.

Nithya Ram started her career as an actress with a Kannada television soap opera Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu, which telecasted on Zee Kannada in which she co-starred with her sister Rachitha Ram as well. She went on to appear in several Kannada soaps like Aval, Karpoorada Gombe, Rajkumar and Eradu Kanasu.

Following this, she worked in two Tamil serials. She had been signed for a film opposite Diganth, which however failed to take off. In 2014, Nithya signed to play a lead role in the film Muddu Manase opposite Aru Gowda where the film was one of the Best films of the year. In the same year, she also signed to her first soap opera in Telugu, Amma Naa Kodala. Nithya currently playing one of the main leads in the mega-hit show Nandhini along with Rahul Ravi in Sun TV.
