Newborn Baby Cries Which Was Declared Dead by Government Hospital Staff
NewBorn Baby Cries: In a bizarre case of negligence, a 700-gram newborn girl baby that was declared dead in the government hospital began to cry while being taken home to get her ‘last rites’ done.
The pleasantly-surprised relatives then hurried back to get the ‘dead’ baby admitted. As the newborn girl lay motionless for a while, the nurses in the Government Hospital declared and told the relatives that the baby died as she was born the low birth weight.
The incident happened on Wednesday when Mariya Vinitha, the wife of a coolie, bore an underweight baby at the Government Headquarters Hospital in Dindigul, TamilNadu. The next day, the condition of the baby turned critical, and she was referred to the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai.
