Narendra Modi Tirupur Meet: 60 trees uprooted to facilitate Prime Minister’s Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the textile city Tirupur Tomorrow to inaugurate a slew of government schemes, including laying the foundation for ESIC hospital in the city. Also, there will be a trial runs on the last stretch of the Chennai Metro Rail’s Phase I. According to sources, the Prime Minister also planned to visit 10 states over five days, travelling daily and also staying a night away from Delhi in Assam, signaling his full campaign mode for the Lok Sabha elections.

Without obtaining permission from the district administration, more than 60 trees were uprooted from the city where PM Modi would address a public meeting. Also, BJP president Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Nitin Gadkari will be participating in the meeting. The meeting will be held in a 21-acre private land on Salem-Kochi highway at Pudhupalayam Pirivu in Perumanallur.

The Prime Minister currently was at Arunachal Pradesh and his next stop is Guwahati in Assam, where he is scheduled to arrive at around 12:30 pm. His last stop will be Tripura, where he is scheduled to reach around 3:30 pm.

During his visit, PM Modi is inaugurating several key projects and addressing multiple rallies. The inauguration process are like the Numaligarh Refinery’s bio-diesel plant and the Barauni-Guwahati gas pipeline – two key energy projects for the state. These pipelines, connecting with the national gas grid. This connection also supplies CNG for automobiles and cooking gas to households.
