Mugen Rao is a singer and actor from Malaysia. He is the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 hosted by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. He started his career with the group titled Random.CROWNZ. He came to the limelight after the release of “Kayalvizhi” music video. Apart from this, he has also worked as a songwriter, producer, and group singer.

Senandung Malam is his debut Malay movie. Mugen Rao has also worked in the Malay movies like Gerak Khas and Ghora. Mugen will be doing a lead role in Vettri Tamil movie directed by Anjana Ali Khan of Veppam fame.

He started his career at the age of 9 as a stage performer along with his father because of the financial crisis in his family.
At the age of 12 he has appeared nearly 50 stage shows.
Apart from stage shows, he has worked in various odd jobs to solve his family’s financial issue.
During his childhood, he has faced various issues and he has also influenced gangster culture in Malaysia. So he often entered into some fights along with his friends.
Sathish Rao is his uncle who helped him to get a role in a Malay movie at the age of 13. This is the point he started his professional career.
He has also hosted a Travel show “KL to KK”.

In 2018, Mugen Rao participated in the Malaysiakini’s inaugural Unity Concert and Harapan Run.
