Momina Mustehsan is a Pakistani singer, songwriter, musician and social activist, who works in the Pakistani Music industry. She made her debut with the cover song “The Blower’s Daughter,” in the year 2004. She has sung a single “Sajna,” for the album Junoon 20 along with ft. Moen Jo Daro in the year 2011. Later she made her debut song “Awari” for the Indian movie “Ek Villain” and the song was composed by Rabbi Ahmed and Adnan Dhool by in the year 2014. Momina Mustehsan Profile and Family

Momina Mustehsan was born on 5 September 1992 in Islamabad, Pakistan. Momina Mustehsan family is now residing in Islamabad, Pakistan. Her father name is Kazim Mustehsan, a retired brigadier from the Pakistan Army and he is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz, which is the third highest honor and civilian award of the country. Her mother name is Huma Mustehsan, a doctor. She has two brothers named Hashim Mustehsan, a doctor, and her younger brother named Haider Mustehsan, an interne at the Pakistan section of the United Nations. She completed her schooling in Lahore Grammar School and finished her graduation in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at Stony Brook University, New York, USA. While pursuing her schooling, she learned to play the violin and she sang in public for the first time in a choir of her grade school without any professional training.

Momina Mustehsan Career

Momina Mustehsan has sung a song for the twentieth anniversary of Junoon, where she recorded a song “Sajna” for the album Junoon 20 in Volume I and the song was written by Ali Azmat. In the year 2012, she wrote and sung the song “Pee Jaun,” along with Farhan Saeed. Momina Mustehsan has also recorded a song “Awari,” for a Pakistani band Soch, and without any notification, her song was used in the Indian movie Ek Villain. In 2016, she recorded her debut song “Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay” for the movie Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay.

After that song, she was marked as a Coke Studio‘s featured artist in season 9. Her debut song with the Coke studio was “Afreen Afreen,” she sang along with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, which has broken all the previous Coke Studio records by accumulating over 2.5 million views in one day. In the following years, she has sung various songs and became popular among the people. In the year 2018, she has sung a single “Aaya Na Tu“, along with an Indian singer Arjun Kanungo composed by Kanungo, and written by Kunaal Vermaa. Apart from singing, Momina Mustehsan is a social activist, who works for several charitable causes and organizations, welfare of women in Pakistan and more.
