Massive Fire Breaks Out In Mumbai’s Fort Area, 2 firefighters injured
A massive fire broke out inside Patel Chambers in the Fort area of the city around 4:30 am today. No one sustained any serious injury in the incident. Around 18 fire engines, 11 tankers and 150 firemen were rushed to the spot. Two fire officials also got injured after part of the building collapsed due to fire. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as of now. The operations to put out the fire are underway and Chief Fire Officer reported that the situation is under control.

This is the second incident of a major fire in Mumbai in just a few days. Earlier in the week, a massive fire broke out inside an office at Scindia House (Commercial) near Income Tax office, Ballard estate.

Five people trapped inside were rescued and it took fire department personnel several hours to finally overcome the challenge of dousing the flames.
