Manikandan, a 21-year college student from Ramanathapuram district has died on (05- December) Sunday. As per reports, He was stopped by police during a vehicle check but he allegedly escaped, and later the cops detained him at Keezhathooval station. Police released him after an hour of interrogation on Saturday evening. Manikandan told to parents that he was beaten up by police, the next day he fell unconscious and was taken to Mudukalathur General hospital where doctors declared he was brought dead. With this incident, the family members refuse to get his body while blockading the road and were also told to take necessary action against the police officer.
