Mamathi Chari is an Indian Actress, Radio jockey and Television Presenter, who predominantly works in Tamil television industry. She made her debut in the Tamil television show ‘Hello Tamizha’, a talk show in Star Vijay TV. She has appeared in popular television shows such as Jillunu oru Jodi, Jiillunu oru challenge and Rani Maharani. After a long gap in the television industry, she gave a comeback with a serial doing the negative role in Vani Rani serial, in Sun TV. She can speak ten languages fluently including Russian and German. The multi-talented Mamathi Chari was one of the contestants in the most controversial show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2. Mamathi Chari Details

Mamathi Chari was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She did her schooling at Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai. She started her television career by producing and anchoring various shows on Raj TV. Her first show was “Muthalvanakkam”, and later “Hello Tamizha,” Vijay TV, where both mornings shows made her popular among the viewers. She then hosted a reality game show in the leading Tamil channel Vijay TV. Her chat show “Jillunu oru Jodi” (JOJ) was very popular among people in which she used do discuss love and relationship with couples.

She then turned into a Radio jockey with the well-known station Big FM 92.7. After a long gap, Mamathi Chari made her acting debut in the television serial Vani Rani serial along with Babloo Prithiveeraj in Sun TV. Mamathi Chari is one of the judges for “TV Stars”, on show on Vijay TV with 32 aspiring TV actors. Now, she is a celebrity in her own right. Mamathi Chari is very interested in listening to Carnatic music, eclectic mix of koothu and Sufi music. Mamathi Chari is also a writer and wrote a book titled Old Madras and Its Various Facets. Apart from being a media personality, she is an Animal Welfare.
