Maha Shivratri 2024: Greetings, Quotes, Celebrations, Images
Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honor of Lord Shiva. It is celebrated in various forms depending on the perspective. Shivaratri is a great festival because it marks the Lord Shiva’s wedding with Goddess Parvati, also called Shakti. According to the South Indian calendar, Chaturdashi Tithi during Krishna Paksha in the month of Magha is known as Maha Shivaratri. However, the North Indian calendar reports that the Masik Shivaratri in the month of Phalguna is known as Maha Shivaratri. In both calendars, the naming convention of the lunisolar month differs. However, North and South Indians celebrate Maha Shivaratri on the same day. See Maha Shivratri 2024 | Greetings, Quotes, Lord Shiva Photos, Shivratri Images and More.
