Madhimalar Ramamurthy is the wife of famous Sri Lankan coach and former cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan. She was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of late Dr S. Ramamurthy of Malar Hospitals and Dr Nithya Ramamurthy. Muttiah Muralitharan is a Right-handed batsman and Right-arm off-break bowler. The couple has a son named Naren who was born on January 2006.
