Lockdown 2.0 (OFFICIAL): TN Curfew Extended till April 30th

Tamil Nadu Lock Down Extension Edappadi palaniswami

After interacting with prime minister Narendra Modi via video conference, Tamil Nadu lockdown curfew has been extended till April 30th as coronavirus cases continue to rise in the state. TN Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has announced the lockdown extension 2.0 on 13 April 2020 evening.

The government allows bakeries to function from 6 am to 1 pm during the 2nd lockdown (till April 30th). Already existing rules for home delivery of food parcels from hotels will be applicable during the next lockdown as well.

Telangana, Maharashtra, Punjab and Odisha, have already extended the lockdown till 30 April. Now, Tamil Nadu joins the list as it marks a high rate of cases. As of 12 April 2020, TN has total cases to 969, out of which 44 have recovered and 10 have passed away.
