Leena Manimekalai is an Indian filmmaker, poet, and actor. She mostly worked on short films and documentaries. Leena is also a poet and released lots of poems in different languages. She is an LGBTQ enthusiast. Leena recently became an internet sensation after she released the poster of her latest documentary. In that poster, Maa Kaali is shown smoking a cigarette which made the social media users furious and they accused her of insulting the Hindu religious sentiment. And it also shows Kaali carrying the pride flag of the LGBTQ community in one hand.
