Krishi Thapanda was born on 23 September 1989. She was born at the most beautiful place Coorg of Karnataka. Krishi attracts many people with her looks. She was crowned as “Miss Karnataka” in the year 2014. The Coorg beauty made her debut in the movie “Akira“. Krishi Thapanda made her acting debut with a role named Lavanya in the Kannada movie “Akira“. The movie Akira features Anish Tejeshwar and Aditi Rao in lead roles. As per Krishi, Kahi was her first movie which she signed but Akira got released first and the debutant was named in the movie. She also added that she comes from a background with no filmy connections. It all started when she came to Bengaluru to pursue her second year PUC when one of her friends asked her to participate in Miss Karnataka competition.

She just participated by her friends insists only but later she got interested towards it and put her full efforts making her a winner and crowned as “Miss Karnataka” in the year 2014. Later one of the casting directors asked her to take a part in the film and she grabbed the opportunity. She played the role of a Montessori school teacher, writer and housewife in the movie Kahi which was she felt challenging. Her other Kannada movies are the Happy new year and Erandu Kanasu.
