Kori Bustard (Ardeotis Kori) is the African based bird that belongs to the order Otidiformes from the family of bustards (Otididae). Ardeotis Kori was derived from the four species in the large-bodied genus Ardeotis. The family members of these species will mostly live in dry grasslands and arid savannas. So you can found these birds easily throughout Southern African places like Botswana and Namibia. It is also the national bird of Botswana. Like other bustards, Kori is also a ground-dwelling and an opportunistic omnivore. The male Kori Bustard birds are twice as likely as female. The length of both male and female bird grows up to 105 to 128 cm long. The weight of the male bird will be 7 and 18 kg where the female weighs up to 3 to 7 kg. The nest of this bird is a shallow hollow in the earth.

Ardeotis kori struthiunculus is indigenous to grasslands and lightly wooded savannahs of southern and eastern Africa. The northeastern African population is composed of the subspecies Ardeotis kori struthiunculus, which inhabits parts of Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
