Kalyani Priyadarshan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She was born to Indian Film Director Priyadarshan and Actress Lissy. She is the eldest of two children born to them. Kalyani Priyadarshan did her schoolings at Lady Andal School which is located in Chennai. After completing her schoolings, She joined Parsons School of Design to pursue her graduation in the field of Fashion Designing.

Kalyani Priyadarshan was given an opportunity to act in a Telugu movie called “Hello“. The movie was directed by famous director Vikram Kumar. In this movie, Kalyani is playing a role opposite to the youngest son of Akkineni Nagarjuna. Akkineni Akhil is playing the lead role in this movie. After a successful blockbuster movie in Tamil, Vikram Kumar is now with a bang with his movie Hello. Being a daughter of famous director Priyadarshan, Kalyani has given her best in the movie. The movie is released on December 22, 2017, and is successfully hitting the theatres.
