Kalabhavan Shajohn was born and brought up in Kottayam, Kerala, India. His father E. J. John is a retired ASI and mother Rejina is a retired nurse, in Varissery, Kottayam, Kerala in India. Shaji John completed her education at St. Mary’s College, Manarcaud. He has a brother named Shibu John who is also a mimicry artist. He tied a knot to Dini on 28 October 2004. The couple has a daughter, Hannaa and a son, Yohan.
