Kaala is an upcoming Tamil-language gangster film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith. The film features Superstar Rajinikanth as Karikaalan “Kaala”, Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar in the lead roles. The film is produced by Dhanush under the banner of Wunderbar Films. Music director Santhosh Narayanan has composed the soundtrack for this movie, while Murali G handles the camera.

Actor Dhanush, who is producing Kaala, said that the team has decided to postpone the teaser release to March 2 “as a mark of respect” for Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi, who died due to cardiac arrest in Tamil Nadu.

Due to the demise of respected Jagadguru Poojyashri Jayaendra Saraswati Shankaracharya, as a mark of respect Kaala teaser will be released on 2nd March. Apologies to all the fans who were eagerly waiting for the teaser.

The film revolves around Rajinikanth’s character, who runs away from Nellai/Tirunelveli in his childhood to Mumbai and becomes a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi.
