After Bal Thackeray’s death, there was an issue formed between Jaidev and Uddhav regarding Bal Thackeray’s will. Jaidev completely took over the majority of the assets of Bal Thackeray as per his will. This incident was unpleasant for Jaidev and he filed a case December 13, 2011, to get back his assets from Uddhav. Jaidev alleged that Uddhav illegally got signature from Bal while he was in a mentally unstable state. Jaidev said his son Aishwarya has rights to utilize the first story of Bal’s Matoshree Bungalow according to Bal’s will. On November 02, 2018, Jaidev withdrew his case filed in the Bombay High Court and stated no reason for his withdrawal.
