Jagan Profile and Career

Jagan Purushottam was born on 26 September 1974 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. After completing his studies, Jagan attended the audition from the Vijay TV for the show host. He hosted the show Kadavul Paadhi Mirugam Paadhi, which was about reviewing movies. His humour and acting won the hearts of viewers and the show received hard-hitting criticism.

In 2005, Jagan made his big screen debut in the film Kanda Naal Mudhal. Subsequently, he signed small budget movies in Tamil. He made his breakthrough from K V Anand’s film Ayan acted opposite to Surya in which he played a small-time smuggler Chitti Babu, and the role won him critical acclaim.

He also received Vijay award for best comedian and Best supporting actor in Tamil and Filmfare award for Best Supporting actor in Tamil. Later, Jagan married to his longtime girlfriend Vaanmathi.
